Auditions
auditions FOR THE spring WILL BE oN August 13, 2024
Children’s Auditions
Memphis Children’s Chorale (children grades 3-8): Auditions will be 15 minutes in length. Singers will match pitches and echo sing, and parents will receive information about participation in the Memphis Children's Chorale.
Youth Auditions
Memphis Youth Chorale (high school and college age students): Auditions will be 15 minutes in length. Students under the age of 18 must provide parent’s name and contact information to schedule an audition. Singers will sing some warm-ups and tonal memory exercises and also have some Q & A time with Dr. Frizzell.
Men’s Auditions and Women’s Auditions
Memphis Men’s Chorale (Tenors and Basses) and Memphis Women’s Chorale (Sopranos and Altos): Each 10 minute audition will include a vocal warm-up and a sight-reading exercise. In addition to these, please be prepared to sing a one minute solo, unaccompanied, of any type (hymn, art song, show tune, etc.).
